The BDTA Certificate: Introduction to Dentistry is a ten-module course designed by specialists, providing step-by-step training to those new to dentistry, new registrants and those who supply and provide a service to the dental industry. It is suitable for either self-learning or supervised training as part of a company induction programme.
By studying this introductory course, students will not only gain an insight into the basics of dentistry and dental equipment plus an appreciation of the work of the dental team, they can also earn 20 hours of verifiable CPD.
The BDTA Training Committee Chairmen, Terry Abbott highly recommends the BDTA Certificate: Introduction to Dentistry as the method for practice or laboratory owner to fast track their new employees knowledge of dentistry. He believes "this tried and tested learning package will enable students to quickly learn the many terms and disciplines used in the world of dentistry".
Students who completed the course have found it to be extremely worthwhile. The majority feel they have acquired a solid understanding of the basics of dentistry and as a consequence, their confidence to perform their job has noticeably increased.
